Aksarben Creative is pleased to announce Benson First Friday (BFF) as a new collaborative partner. The duo will team up to produce weekly episodes of the Riverside Chats podcast. This collaborative partnership will bring attention to artists, musicians, and businesses in the Benson community and aims to promote creativity in Omaha as a whole.

Riverside Chats explores the culture of Omaha and aims to tell the stories of the interesting people active in the city. Featured guests include artists, musicians, comedians, filmmakers, politicians, and business owners.

Benson First Friday is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the region’s emerging and established artists by creating opportunity, exposure and experiences that help them move forward while enriching the cultural competency of the greater Omaha area.

Riverside Chats debuted at The B Side of Benson Theatre on January 6, 2019 with featured guest Cameron Logsdon, a local comedian. Other featured guests include members of Big Muddy Urban Farm, local filmmaker Brigitte Timmerman, Film Streams founder Rachel Jacobson, and congressional candidate Kara Eastman. Riverside Chats will continue to host live events at The B Side of the Benson Theatre, including Senator Megan Hunt on May 29.

This new collaboration will allow for weekly production of the podcast. Recording will take at the BFF office in Benson.
